Chester Race for Life- June 4th 2008

Tattenhall Tough Team- June 20th 2008

Several Deestriders and their friends tackled this bizarre 9.5 miler of multi terrain, which lived up to its name, incorporating a difficult scramble up a disused railway track.  Indeed teamwork was the way forward as the slowest team member’s time counted, so people were smart enough to realise there was no point in going it alone.  Phil Taylor and Mike Norris teamed up with new girl Leanne, who did extremely well in her debut at such a long distance.  Lorna Royle, Leslie Ingram and Linda Martin gave it “one L” of a shot.  Rugby ace Nick Chadwick tackled the course with some serious backup from Leslie’s tae kwon do friends.  Everyone worked together to get round in a fantastic team effort of 89 minutes.

Coming up on Sunday 6 July 2008 will be the City of Manchester 10k.  In action will be Phil Taylor and the returning Jay Jennions.  If anyone else is doing it and would like to travel with us let Phil or Jay know.
