Five Deestriders assembled at Farndon on Mothers’ Day in conditions better than last year (no bin bags required) but still very chilly.
The group braced themselves for getting down to their racing kit and the half mile jog to the start, but once underway the conditions were positively warm.
Jane Evans won her age category and a well-deserved prize with 58:46. After a break from racing, Mike Norris and Carol Boynton returned a very creditable 50:22 and 56:32. Lorna Royle and Leslie Ingram achieved PBs of 49:17 and 49:39 despite the hilly course. Lorna’s Tuesday night hill runs are paying off as she pulled away during the last hill by the Stretton Water Mill. Well done everyone!
